5.16.20 – What Would’ve Been

It’s hard to believe that it is already the middle of May, and I’ve officially been in “Quarantine” for the last two months. I’m lucky to be able to see my immediate family, and hold my nephew as he was born during this pandemic. Other than that no one. I have so many new clothes that have barely seen the light of day, but still at least trying to show them off here.

What Would’ve Been

OUTFIT OPTION 1

My floral blouse is from Nordstrom Rack, that I bought earlier in March. It is a peplum blouse, but I chose to tuck it into my high waist pants. Similar blouses can be found here, and here.

I wore a new pair of Button Front High Waist Ankle Pants from Loft. They only have the plus size available currently. Similar pants can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of Rothy’s The Point in Black Solid. I have been wanting a pair of Rothy’s for a while and finally took the plunge. I felt I would be able to get a lot of use out of them while in the office, and they are machine washable! I did order a whole size up in The Point. I haven’t tried other styles yet, but am thoroughly enjoying The Point’s! If you would like $20 off, click here.

I wore a black headband from Target.

I wore a pair of large knife edge hoop earrings from Target.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

OUTFIT OPTION 2

I am a huge fan of linen pants. I already had a pair of black, and wanted a more neutral color. I bought these beige linen pants from Amazon this past summer. They are BEYOND comfortable.

I wore a high neck sleeveless bodysuit from boohoo with my outfit. Similar can be found here, and here.

Over my top I wore this jean jacket that I have had for probably seven years, so my exact jean jacket is not available. My jean jacket that I am wearing is from American Eagle. A very similar jean jacket (cropped, color, style) is this J. Crew Factory Classic Jean Jacket. Jean jackets should be in everyone’s closet. I specifically like a cropped jean jacket because I am a fan of high waisted items, and I like the way it looks with dresses. I potentially want an oversized jean jacket, but have not made the plunge yet. Other similar jean jackets can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of Rothy’s The Point in Black Solid. I have been wanting a pair of Rothy’s for a while and finally took the plunge. I felt I would be able to get a lot of use out of them while in the office, and they are machine washable! I did order a whole size up in The Point. I wore a pair of large knife edge hoop earrings from Target.

My thick gold snake chain was my grandmother’s, but similar can be found here.

A small gold pendant necklace is a few years old, but similar can be found here.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

OUTFIT OPTION 3

Today, I chose a pink faux leather jacket from JustFab. It was such a nice day, I didn’t even have to wear a coat over it! I LOVE the color of this jacket, and could not pass it up. I love JustFab, and more information can be found in this past blog post. Similar jackets can be found here, and here.

I wore a short sleeve, flowy, white shirt, that I purchased from Amazon.com. This top is super comfortable, and I felt made a great addition to my outfit. Similar tunics can be found here, and here.

I paired my tunic and coat with a pair of faux leather leggings. I purchased these leggings from Nordstrom, after quite a search. I initially saw these particular leggings on Ali Luvs. They were super affordable, and I loved seeing someone else where them. I made sure to read the reviews and sizing, since you never know the fit with faux leather. They came and fit extremely well. I didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for faux leather leggings, but also wanted them to look good. Similar leggings can be found here, and here.

I wore a pair of Rothy’s The Point in Black Solid. I have been wanting a pair of Rothy’s for a while and finally took the plunge. I loved 101 Dalmatians growing up, and my aunt and then cousin had a Dalmatian and I loved them both. Nickel & Suede came out with Spotted Cork Leather earrings, and I HAD to have it! I bought the large.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

I wore a new brown leopard dress from Target. I love the flowy and ruffle bottom. Similar dresses can be found here, and here.

With my outfit I wore an older pair of beige slide sandals. Similar sandals can be found here, and here.

For my clean lipstick, I am wearing Beautycounter’s Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, a perfect beige pink nude.

OUTFIT OPTION 5

I decided to pair a cream colored crop top, that I purchased from Amazon.com. Although the shirt says white in the description, it does have a slight yellow/cream tint to the shirt.

I chose a sleeveless army green vest from Target, that I purchased almost three years ago (really going with the old but still loved items this week) I love this vest, and have been extremely happy with the purchase! I’ve gotten so much use out of the vest. Similar vest can be found here, and here.

I front tucked my sweater in my button-fly rockstar jeans from Old Navy. Similar jeans can be found here, and here.
